The mission of the Flat Iron Artists' Association (FIAA) is to organize, promote, and host art and cultural activities in the Wicker Park/Bucktown area, with a primary focus on events held in the historic Flat Iron Arts Building.
The FIAA and its activities directly benefit the more than 48 working artists who have studios in the Flat Iron Arts Building. This community represents the largest concentration of artists working in the WPB neighborhood and includes painters, photographers, poets, sculptors, writers, actors, and film and digital artists. In addition, the FIAA welcomes over 200 guest and student artists into its events annually, making it one of the most visible and respected art venues in the city of Chicago.
The FIAA is a recognized 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation and the organizing entity of the WPB First Friday, and the quarterly smARTshow Festivals centered in the Flat Iron Arts Building. |
